Weddings at Monumental Church

Something Old Monumental Church was designed by Robert Mills, America's first native-born architect, in 1814. It is the most elaborate and only surviving of the five doomed, octagonal buildings designed by Mills, making it a priceless component of America’s historical and architectural landscape.

Something New Recently restored by Historic Richmond Foundation, Monumental Church is a non-denominational deconsecrated church ideal for any wedding or group event, and its unique historical character will make your special day even more memorable.

Something Borrowed Be a part of history by celebrating your monumental moment in this unique historic landmark. . The sanctuary exudes a simple elegance that creates a romantic setting for your wedding ceremony, and the side lawn is available for garden receptions.

Non-denominational, deconsecrated church - you may bring in any officiant you wish.

The acoustics of the church have been designed in such a way as to ensure every guest can hear the ceremony without the use of microphones.
