SUMMARY:William Fox Elementary
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, May 21\, 6:00-8:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nAddress – 2300 Hanover Ave\, the Fan Historic District \n\n\n\nOriginally built in 1911\, William Fox Elementary was designed by Charles M Robinson and sits on an entire city block in the center of the Fan District. It is a two-story brick and stone building\, mostly vernacular in style with some Arts and Crafts influence\, topped by a cupola. In 2022 the building suffered a devastating fire\, resulting in an outpouring of community support to preserve the building. The school reopened for the 2025-2026 year. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 17\, 6:00-8:00p.m. \n\n\n\nCabin Hill\, located on the James River\, was originally constructed circa 1910 as two log cabins and in 1964 the owners engaged renowned architect Bud Hyland to design a Mid-Century Modern addition to create a kitchen and make it a more family friendly home.
