Help Richmond’s Parks!
We join the Friends of the James River Park and other parks groups in asking for your vote for Richmond’s Parks.

As part of the American Rescue Plan, the City of Richmond is receiving $154 million. The City is conducting a survey to determine how to allocate that funding. The survey is open through August 9.

Funding for schools is part of a separate package, so is not part of this funding allocation or survey.

The survey asks you to rank spending options in four categories. Question #4 gives you the opportunity to rank your choices for which parts of Richmond’s infrastructure need the most attention. “Parks” is one option.

We know that the Richmond community has many needs, but this is your chance to have your voice heard in how we address them. Please take the survey and let the City know how much you value our Parks and green spaces.

The City’s Parks have proven a valuable resource during the pandemic, but also have many needs. For example, for years, we have been advocating for the Pump House restoration, which is a key element of the James River Park System’s Master Plan.

Vote for your priorities and take the survey at this link.
