Netherwood Restoration, 2525-2509 O Street

Mix and mingle with great people, enjoy fantastic food and drink and absorb fascinating expert commentary on Richmond history, architecture and culture. Part Happy Hour and part field trip, there’s nothing quite like a Quoit Club event.

Heirloom Restorations is hard at work restoring the stretch of eight Greek Revival-style houses on the 2525-2509 block of O Street in Church Hill North. The houses will be restored to their 1875 appearance with spacious additions to complement today’s lifestyles.

In 1874, James Netherwood, a stone contractor, bought a 140’ x 90’ lot of land on O Street to build houses for his workers and their families. The majority of the houses in the Church Hill North neighborhood were built for working class people and as a consequence of these modest occupations, the buildings are small in scale and lacking in architectural embellishment. 2525 O Street has a commercial storefront on the ground floor while the remainder of the rowhouses all maintain residential first floor entrances.

Event is free for Quoit Club members.
Single Event Tickets: $20 at the door.
